Copenhagen
20-21 May 2026
General information
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the CO2 Capture, Storage & Reuse Conference 2025! With more than 350 participants from 25 countries, the event was truly exceptional. We’re excited to announce the next edition, CO2 Capture, Storage & Reuse 2026, taking place on May 20-21 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As industries work towards meeting ambitious climate goals, the demand for CO2 capture and decarbonisation technologies is rapidly growing. Governments and corporations alike are prioritising critical investments in these technologies to reduce emissions and drive the transition to more sustainable practices. Key policies such as the EU Green Deal and the U.S. Infrastructure Bill are accelerating the deployment of these solutions.
Sectors like cement, steel, and energy are leading the charge, implementing CO2 capture to address their significant carbon footprints. This growing momentum highlights the urgent need to mitigate climate change while complying with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
Please see below a short video recap of last edition. Can't wait to see you again this year!
Site visit
The day before the main event, on 19th May 2026, a limited number of conference participants will have a unique opportunity to visit waste-to-energy plant SYSAV and Everllence’s Research Centre Copenhagen with exclusive site visits.
Register your interest in the site visit when booking your ticket. Participation is free of charge, and spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
To sign up, please add “I would like to join the site visit” in the “More Information” section during registration.
Sysav is aiming for full-scale carbon capture at the combined heat and power plant at Spillepeng, with the SkyZero project . At full capacity, the plant will be able to capture as much as 90–95 percent of the carbon dioxide emissions from two lines, approximately 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. You can learn more here.
During the visit to RCC, participants will see two test engines: one operating on ammonia (NH₃) and another running on green methanol or green LNG, showcasing the final step of the CC(U)S value chain and real-world offtake technologies for maritime transport. Learn more here.
