Rotterdam
17-18 March 2027
General information
The European Conference Green Marine Transport 2027 will take place on 17–18 March 2027 in Rotterdam, bringing together key decision-makers, innovators, and industry leaders from across the maritime sector. Over two days, the conference will unite shipowners, port authorities, fuel producers, regulators, technology providers, financiers, and logistics companies to explore the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in maritime decarbonisation.
As the industry moves from ambition to implementation, the focus is shifting towards practical solutions that can deliver measurable emissions reductions while maintaining competitiveness. Discussions will cover FuelEU Maritime, EU ETS compliance, alternative marine fuels, port infrastructure, digitalisation, AI-driven efficiency, green shipping corridors, and the financing of sustainable shipping projects. Biofuels, methanol, hydrogen, ammonia, shore power, and energy-efficient vessel technologies are all playing an increasingly important role in the transition to low-carbon shipping.
As Europe’s largest port and one of the world's leading maritime and logistics hubs, Rotterdam provides the ideal setting for discussing the future of sustainable shipping. Green Marine Transport 2027 will offer a platform for sharing best practices, showcasing innovative technologies, discussing regulatory developments, and building the partnerships needed to accelerate the maritime energy transition.
